Why Invest in Professional Deck Restoration?
Extend Lifespan
Proper staining prevents rot, warping, and splitting of expensive decking materials, saving you thousands in replacement costs.
Enhanced Safety
Thorough cleaning and sanding removes slippery algae, mold, and dangerous splinters, making the deck safe for bare feet.
Aesthetic Revival
Professional restoration strips away years of gray weathering, restoring the rich, natural beauty of the original wood.
UV Protection
Premium pigmented stains block harmful UV rays that degrade wood fibers, keeping your deck structurally sound.
Our Deck Restoration Process
A comprehensive approach to renewing and protecting your outdoor wood surfaces.

Setup & Cleaning
Furniture and planters are lifted clear and the planting around the deck is covered before any water is used. Loose boards and fixings are checked while everything is still dry.

Preparation
Grey, worn fibre is cleaned off with a wood-safe stripper rather than a harsh caustic. Once the boards are dry they are sanded so the finish can soak in instead of sitting on top.

Staining & Sealing
Stain is worked along the length of each board and the excess is wiped back before it goes tacky. Cut ends and end grain get an extra pass, since that is where a deck fails first.

Clean Up
Dust is vacuumed out from between the boards rather than blown around the garden. Furniture goes back once the finish is hard enough not to mark.

Inspection
We check the deck underfoot, along the rails and around the posts. Siding and trim are covered under exterior painting if the whole outside needs doing at once.
8 Reasons Why You Should Restore Your Deck
Your deck is constantly exposed to the harshest elements. Proper restoration is essential for its survival and your enjoyment.
Prevents Costly Wood Rot
Bare, unprotected wood absorbs rain and snow, leading to deep structural rot. Premium stains seal the wood fibers, keeping moisture out and preventing decay.
Blocks Harmful UV Damage
Just like your skin, wood burns in the sun. UV rays break down the lignin in wood, turning it gray and brittle. Pigmented stains act as sunscreen for your deck.
Saves Thousands on Replacement
Lumber is incredibly expensive. Regularly maintaining and staining your deck costs a fraction of what it would cost to tear down and rebuild a neglected, rotting structure.
Restores Natural Beauty
Professional cleaning and sanding strip away years of gray weathering, black mildew, and dirt, revealing the rich, beautiful natural grain of the wood underneath.
Eliminates Dangerous Splinters
As wood dries out and degrades, it splinters. Our thorough sanding and conditioning process smooths the surface, making it safe for bare feet and pets.
Stops Mold and Mildew Growth
Damp, shaded decks are breeding grounds for slippery green algae and black mold. Our specialized cleaners kill these spores, and our stains prevent them from returning.
Boosts Outdoor Appeal
A beautifully restored deck instantly elevates your entire backyard. It transforms an eyesore into a premium outdoor living space you'll actually want to use.
Protects Against Winter Freeze
When water soaks into bare wood and freezes during Canadian winters, it expands, causing the boards to crack and split. Proper staining stops this freeze-thaw damage.
Factors That Influence Your Deck Quote
Here is what we look for when assessing your outdoor wood restoration project.
Current Coating Status
Stripping off old, peeling solid stain or paint is the most labor-intensive part of deck restoration. Bare, weathered wood is much faster to prep.
Spindles and Railings
While floorboards can be sanded with large floor sanders, every single spindle must be sanded and stained by hand, drastically increasing labor time.
Wood Type and Age
Pressure-treated pine, cedar, and exotic hardwoods all require different prep methods and specific types of stain to ensure proper penetration.
Accessibility
Second-story decks or decks surrounded by delicate landscaping require more time to safely wash, prep, and protect the surrounding area.
